BME at UPenn

<p>I'm currently interested in UPenn's top BME program - especially with the new building and the chance to shadow a medical internist (not sure I used the right word there). However, I am aware that it is a rigorous program, and a top Ivy League school. Should I even apply? I've applied to many other top schools (Northwestern, Rice, BU, etc.) and I'm pretty discouraged after seeing UPenn's supplement essays.</p>

<p>Can anyone just give an insight into the BME program?</p>

<p>The BME program at Penn is excellent; only Hopkins, Duke, UCSD, and maybe Georgia Tech can claim to be better.</p>

<p>How is it compared to Cornell, since the latter is the top Ivy League school for engineering?
(Now I kind of regret applying for Columbia)</p>
