bme classes

Hi i was wondering what anyone would recommend for courses freshman year for bme major

im in the same boat as you are but im planning to go to med school so im definitely taking pre-med courses along with b.m.e

Pre-med with BME? Have fun. BME alone needs 130 credits!

Chemistry I (then II)
Physics I (then II, labs both semesters)
Calc I (then II … or II then III… or III then IV)
BME 100
Writing

And if you’re pre-med, Chem labs too, both semesters. BME doesnt need CHE lab, but pre med does.

First semester you dont have much of a choice of what to take. At orientation they will basically tell you this is what youre doing lol

I hope that BME majors were fans of AP credit in high school.

My roommate is a BME major and because the major falls under the College of Engineering, she waved a lot of her DECs using AP credits. BME is a pretty structured major.
Anyway, here’s a sample course sequence for the major (you can find sample course sequences for any major through the UG bulletin):
