I am accepted to BME. I wanted to know if it is good major for pre-med. I want to do the tissue engineering portion. I heard that BME is killer and that it would be too difficult to get a good GPA. Should I still stick with BME for pre-med or change to the more traditional biochem or bio majors? I really need imput fast since registration stuff should be coming in the mail soon. Also I wanted to know where I can get to the official JHU hosted forum for admitted students (not CC). Thanks in advance.

Contact JHU admissions or a counselor you can take about this issue, JHU should give you good advice at studens have done in the past and still went to medical school. Just of out of curiosity, what was your standardized (act or sat) score?

You can major in anything and be pre-med as long as you take the required courses. Major in what interests you the most.

SGandhi, send me a private message and I can provide you the web address for the Class of 2010 Message Board.

Also, as far as your questions, I really suggest you speak with an Academic Advisor -- that is what they are there for.
