Bme- inform me please!

So I was pretty sad when I got rejected from Harvard and Yale. However, I did discover that I was accepted into jhu bme program, which is my major. Pardon my ignorance and stupidity, but is it competitive program to get into?...and is it a better option for me since I have that specific major?

My S was in the same position last year. However he was very excisted about BME at Hopkins and we all thought it is a great opportunity!! Sad part was no financial aid. However it was to good to pass up. Good luck with your decision.

The BME program is the only program at Hopkins that you have to specifically apply and be accepted into. Its the top ranked BME program for many years running and (in my biased opinion), it’s a fantastic program. That said, it’s not a easy major by any means and it’s only worth the effort if it’s something you’re actually interested in and passionate about. See [this thread](JHU Biomedical Engineering - Johns Hopkins University - College Confidential Forums) for some discussion about the BME program (look at the second page of posts)

Hopkins BME is #1. I know of people who have turned down MIT and Harvard to study BME here. Gratz
