I was just wondering if anyone could give me some insight into SCU's Biomedical Engineering Program. Is it similar to UCSD in that it has different sections within the major like: Bioengineering:Pre-Med; Bioengineering:Biotechnology; Bioengineering:Bioinformatics; etc? Also, when someone finishes the BME program is it considered a BME degree or a general engineering degree?

DD is meeting with the advisor for biomedical engineering at SCU as she thinks this is what she would like to do. In reading the info online, however, I (the mom) don't really see that as a major but rather a "concentration". When DD gets info to me, I'll try to post this here. I know it's the perfect blend for my kid who SHOULD be an engineer, but has a very strong interest in the life sciences.
