<p>I was just wondering, if I were to put BME as my #1 choice for a major, does that lessen my chance of getting into the college, if they don't accept me into the BME program?</p>

<p>no they consider ur gereral admission and ur admission to BME separately. u can get admitted to JHU but rejected from BME. so go for it if that's really wat u want to do</p>
