I was also admitted into the BME program, i was just wondering the number of students that actually go into the work force after graduation versus the number of students that go on to medical school?
also how does the department break down? is it similar to UCSD where they have Bioengineering; Bioengineering:Biotechnology; Bioengineering:Premedical; and Bioengineering:Bionformatics? or is it just one category: “biomedical engineering”?
and just a side question, i hear that UCSD has a pretty dead social scene, is cal poly’s much better?

lol i doubt you can even try to compare ucsd's party life to ours.. we're pretty serious about having fun ;)

seriously, ucsd social scene doesn't compare to our party scene. but to be serious for a second, i know that the BME program here isn't like ucsd's we techinically have one category but there are a variety of concentrations. I believe there is biomedical engineering with specialization in biomechanics, bioinformatics, clinical engineering and some others.
