<p>Kind of a two part question. Mainly I want this to be a "chance me" thread, but I also know that my extracurriculars are weak... so I guess i'm also looking for advice on boosting those even late in my junior year. Well, here are my stats:</p>
<p>GPA- 4.0/ 4.7 weighted</p>
<p>SAT- 770,760,730- taking again in march</p>
<p>SAT II- 760 in Physics, will take Math II and retake Physics in June</p>
<p>APs- Human Geo-4, Physics B-5, World Hist-5
will take: physics C, Calc AB+BC, English Lang+Lit, Bio, Chem, AP Gov, Macro + Micro, Spanish, US history</p>
<p>ECs-
All the nat'l. honor societies
Piano for 11 years
Tutor middle school children
Teach young kids to read hebrew
Intern in Dermatology office</p>
<p>Ok. So I want to study Biomedical Engineering. Chance on these schools, or recommedations. Duke (Pratt), Michigan, UPenn, Vanderbilt, Johns Hopkins, Wisconsin</p>
<p>Georgia Tech is the #2 BME school in the country, and you’ll get in. In fact, you’ll probably be a semi-finalist for the Presidential Scholarship (full ride).</p>
<p>i agree with G.P Burdell, in terms of BME and most any other type of engineering GAtech is better than all except Duke and Hopkins, and you would probally get more scholarship</p>

<p>It sounds good, I’m wondering how you’re going to take all those APs, are you taking some of them now? Are there any summer programs you could do relating to BME to boost the EC’s? Not that they’re bad, but it would look good to have something very specific to what you’re applying for.</p>
