10th as well haha

Barely survived my first day of eighth grade… I don’t like my schedule…

Is it possible at SPS to do both a spring sport and the spring drama production. Thanks.

rizzledrizzle–

today was your first day of school? that is early!!!

rizzle, when did you start summer break

Eh…around the end of May. And @laughalittle our summer was a week longer than usual!

When do you go off to Peddie @laughalittle?

Are re-appliers applying to the sameschools as last year? I’m still deciding I I want to apply to schools that rejected me.

School starts September 5th!

Gahh! So jealous! I hope that’ll be me next year! I hope I get accepted into Peddie - basically a top choice!

I’m a re-applier, but I guess I don’t really count because I applied after they sent out acceptance letters (I hadn’t considered boarding school before then). I applied to Deerfield and Andover in a rush. Both put me on the waitlist because they didn’t have space, and recently said that they will not be moving anyone. I’m reapplying to those schools - mainly because they said they would have liked to accept me (that’s probably standard though. haha), but I’m also broadening my options because this year I have tons more time. Hopefully this time around, everything will be less daunting - applications, interviews, and recommendations(my teachers weren’t too happy when I said they only had a week to complete them because it was in a rush). Good luck!

At least you didn’t get rejected ^

anyone knows of any prep schools that offer japanese?

so far i know of

andover

exeter

st paul’s

cate

lawrenceville

any others?

Rizzle,

It’s hard work, as you know, but I’m sure with a little determination, good grades and scores, and an amazing interview, you’ll get in. PM me with any questions :)

Dahh~I’m going to interview in Andover and Exeter in just a few days… >.< Advice, anyone? They’re my first schools I’m interviewing (and those are my top choices…so I REALLY can’t mess up), and I’m really nervous!!!

doomedforfailure - What I’m doing is scheduling interviews for my last choice schools first and my top choice school last so that I have experience with interviewing. It’s a little too late for you to do that though, so just be yourself. Also make sure that you know information about the school, and have a few good questions to ask but make sure that they couldn’t have been answered on the website or in the viewbook. If it comes across that you have done your research about the schools, then your interviewer will know that you are motivated and passionate about the schools.

Yeah, that’s what I wanted to do as well, but my parents forced me to just schedule interviews that I could’ve because I will be extremely busy during the school year… still a bad choice! At least I could’ve scheduled my 2nd choices first! facepalm

Anyways, thanks for your advice. I think I got the info down ('cause Andover and Exeter have pages like, “Why Exeter (Andover)?” and “Why boarding schools?”, so I just read that and thought about what I was going to say… >.< I feel like a cheater.

Anyway, I’m just scared I’m going to start stuttering and going “uhhh” all the time. I can’t think on the spot… >.<

Lolz, wish me luck, fellow applicants!

I’m sure you’ll do great! Good luck!

I’m so confused about the application process! It says on Peddie’s website to apply online, but when I click the link, it tells me to go click something above when there isn’t anything? And for Gateway to Prep School, do you complete that and a hard copy? Or just the GTP? And Peddie keeps on telling me to complete Part 1 online, or I can’t schedule an interview. They have a PRINTABLE version for Part 1 up, so I can I print that, complete it, and then send it to Peddie? I’m confused!

EDIT: Whoops! It’s only required that you complete it online for international.

Okay…just figured everything out…I think.
