I thought I would start a new thread so we can all post where we will be applying. I saw there was one for the entry class of 2012 but nothing so far for the entry class of 2013.

I myself am applying to several school. I am leaving nothing to chance I WANT TO GO TO BOARDING SCHOOL!!! All the schools are great some I love more than other but the educational and extracurricular opportunities cant be beat at ALL of them

In alphabetical order they are
Blair Academy
Cate School
Choate Rosemary Hall
Culver Military
Deerfield Academy
Hotchkiss School
Loomis Chaffee School
Lawrenceville
McCallie
Northfield Mount Hermon
Peddie School
Phillips Academy Andover
Phillips Exeter Academy
St. Paul School
The Taft School

Out of the above school only two of them I haven't visited. I looked at 6 other schools which I did not feel would be a good fit for me. I have completed all my applications I did each school individually not SSAT or TABS or Gateway. I am excited to see how it all plays out in March.

Good luck to us all!

So lets here it where do you want to go to school?

I’m applying to Andover, Lawrenceville, NMH, Deerfield, and Hotchkiss! Good luck to everyone. P.S. who has finished all their essays?!?! I need to get past writers block :/

I STRONGLY urge all of you applicants who are applying to only “big name” schools, to look at other schools too. No matter how great your stats, it is a crapshoot getting admitted into any of them. You might find yourself in a very uncomfortable position on March 10 with only Wait List & Denied results.

I second GMTplus7. Please, y’all, there are so many excellent schools. The usual suspects are reaches for anyone, and you should not have just reaches on your list. Those schools that accept the common application make it easy to apply. Our DC is at Blair, and it is definitely worth your consideration. Academics, EC opportunities, sports, the arts, and college placement are all excellent. The campus is gorgeous and the kids are a friendly, warm, and welcoming bunch. The teachers are inspiring and 90% live on campus. It is well worth looking into. DC would honestly rather be nowhere else.

If there’s a place for non-US applicants, I’m applying to Westminster School and Wellington College to board here in the UK.
Results come on Saturday and Wednesday, so nervous!

Thanks! I heard back from a day school (unexpectedly) yesterday and got a place there so at least it’s all been a little worthwhile.
Luckily I’m having a crazy busy few weeks, so I’m distracted enough!

Got my first BS acceptance this morning! Can’t believe after nearly two years of non-applications and everything I did it :)

It did take a while to work out which school had accepted me though, it was only obvious once we looked in the contact information right at the bottom of the email… Has anyone else found this?
