Hi so I'm wondering what my chances for andover are.
-95 percentile overall ssat (im kind of worried about because I'm usaually a really strong test taker)and I'm pretty confident about my essay
-mostly b's some a's and a c in 8th and all a's but one b in 7th
- I play basketball, lacrosse, softball and I run track
- I'm also in humanities club and poetry club
- I play the piano and I was a gs for the last 8 years
-I also like creative writing which I do on my own time
- I have an interest in physics and am planning to start independent study with my teacher in physics and he wants to coauthor a story with me
-I'm in the Midwest talent search at northwestern
Also, I received a perfect score on my act explore in every subject should I send that in?
And I go to a catholic school so do they look at religion grades?
And regarding my explire I heard that I could get a high school scholarship because of my score (to any high school) so does anybody have information regarding this?

What schools are you specifically trying to get into? Different schools look at things differently…

I’m trying for andover and Cate

Hi, you look like a strong candidate. 95 percent in SSAT should be more than ok. So dont worry about it. It would not make any difference if you scored 99.

I am not really sure if they have merit-based scholarship at either PA or Cate. They are both very difficult schools to get in. So why dont you widen your school search for safety? Best wishes!

You might want to mention that in the App, but you probably won’t need to send it in. 95 is a good score already.

Andover is extremely tough to get into. Are you great at any of the sports you mention?

Not sure about Cate, but is that the one with less than 300 kids?

I have gotten defender of the year every year since fourth grade for basketball, do you think i should mention that? I also might be going to nationals for snowboarding(assuming i get 1st or 2nd place at regionals) so i’ll probably mention that too.

I also have add, so will this affect me negatively? But I am academically gifted so maybe that will make up for it?

If you take a medication for ADD and visit the doctor on a regular basis, then my recommendation is tell the schools about it. If your academics show that ADD is not a factor for your academic capability, tell them.

If you are diagnosed with ADD but don’ take the medication or visit the doctor regularly, I don’t think you have to mention it, assuming that the doctor was certain that you would have no problem without medication.

Your basketball and snowboarding should be mentioned as extracurricular activities.

@mrnephew, yes, Cate has a total student body of less than 300.
