As the fabled March 10 draws closer, the days pass even slower for me. (Am I the only one?) I was hoping that some current and former boarding school students could share their experiences and perhaps some fun stories. I think I would rather read about that rather than worry about my own applications. Thanks!

Hi. I go to the Governor’s Academy. I’m a senior and will be graduating this year.
There is nothing that can prepare you for boarding school. It’s an incredible experience. It’s going to be a crazy experience but you’ll leave a much better and stronger person. At least that’s what happened to me.

Yes you’ll go through hard times but that is heavily outweighed by what is, imo, the best part about boarding school. Living on campus with students and faculty is unbeatable. My school made me so much more confident, outgoing, and all around much more motivated and determined than I was when I got here. Best of luck!

Thank you for sharing your experience. As a parent whose son started at his BS last year, I believe what you have experienced is our main purpose of sending my son to BS. Your comment only reinforced my belief. Thanks and best wishes.
