Hello! I'm applying for boarding schools for my 10th grade.

So far my choices are: Hotchkiss, Exeter, Choate Rosemary Hall, Berkshire, and Governor's Academy.

Regardless if I get accepted, I will still have to pay an average of $22,000 with financial aid. I'm wondering, if there are any other ways to decrease that cost? (scholarship, etc)

Thanks!

This forum primarily concerns college finaid. You may get more of a response on the prep school forum:

$22,000 seems low for boarding school. Local prep day schools run about $28,000.( this is Seattle- other parts of country seem to be higher)
But as far as Ive seen, most aid comes from the schools, although there also may be small outside awards.

oh, thank you! I’ll be sure to look at it
