Boarding schools in UK

Do you also think they are so... secret? When you want to get info about US boarding schools you have number of lists, special pages about them, their web site is quite easy to understand and get the info you want, but british have strange web adresses, only few common info sites, each has own entrace exams... What do you think? Which UKs school do you think is the best?

I think Eton and Harrow are the best boy's schools. I don't know about co-ed and girl's schools.

There's a school called TASIS (the american school in switzerland, but it's got an england branch too). I wanted to go there- it's an international school where you'd meet kids from all over the world (seems like a lot of diplomat kids) Sharon Creech, the writer, used to teach there and that's where she got the idea for her most famous book, bloomability.

Also, I think in the us we're a little obssessed with comparing prestige and making the right choice. In England, I think it's more laid back. Yeah, you want to pass your a-levels and get into oxford and cambridge, but if you don't, it's not the end. So there's probably not so much information on the web because people don't care that much. Did you google 'english boarding schools'?
