has anyone suggested walnut hill in mass? they are a performing arts high school

Choate has a great arts program. This would include dance, I believe.

keylyme, i would like to bump this.

although the hours per week at most boarding schools is cut down from what i do, sps is not the case.

i've been in contact with the director of dance and she said her company dances 19 hours per week.

4 hours less than what i do now, but i'll manage!

choate, the most widely known hands down

Walnut Hill has an exceptional dance program for ballet. They don't do tap even though musical theatre is a big concentration there. Interlochen Academy for the arts has an equally strong dance program (if not stronger) and a very strong academic program. They've helped produce 38 presidential scholars for the arts.

Interlochen is also an arts boarding school. It does have a very strong dance program:ballet, modern, jazz, etc., With amazing guest artists. Academics to take a huge part, but probably not as big as Andover, Choate, etc., Like live&learn said, they do produce more Presidential Scholars in the Arts than any other school in America. pm me if you want more details.

Concord Academy in Concord Ma, Jazz.

yeah , i live by concord academy and don't really like the school .

& jazz isn't my strongest suit .
