<p>Has anyone interned for Boeing over the summer? What locations? Did they help with housing/transportation? Any insight/experiences/recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!</p>
<p>I haven't interned but I'm a hopeful for this next summer. The Boeing representatives I've talked to in the past have said that they cover your housing. Locations obviously depend on where you want to be at this summer and if you want to live near to where you currently do, but you certainly can't go wrong with going to Boeing's HQ in Seattle. Look into what each location specializes in and see what looks most interesting/works out for you best.</p>
<p>There are many locations. Commerical aircraft is mostly in Seattle and nearby cities. There are also other departments, like satellites, as gstein said.</p>
<p>If a company will cover your housing, most of the chances, you have the freedom to rent whereever you want (preferable close to work) with the stipend.</p>
<p>The best recommendation is to find which department interests you (and best matches your skills), apply to those requisitions, and hope for the best.</p>
<p>Ah…Boeing headquarters is located in Chicago. The senior corporate executives left Seattle about 10 years ago. Of course much of the commercial aircrat business remains in the Pacific Northwest, as was said. But even some of that business (the Dreamliner Project) has been moved to South Carolina, in part.</p>
