So, today, I took the Computer Science AP Test, and I'm fairly certain I got a 2, maybe a 3 if I'm lucky. However, I'm not at all considering majoring in this field in college, so if colleges saw that, would they care? Also, they only see the scores you decide to send in, correct?

I'm sorry if this is the wrong section of the site for this, but I wasn't sure where to put it.

I just went through the application process this year and I’m fairly certain you have to send all your scores. I was never given the option to choose what to send and what not to. I wouldn’t really worry about it, 4’s and 5’s will help but 3’s won’t really hurt.

When you apply for colleges you don’t actually send them an official AP score report. You self-report scores via the Common App, so you can omit scores if you want. Also, if you really did get a 2, don’t send it.

I got a 2 and a 3 last year and still got scholarship money.

Some colleges don’t care and they understand that some teachers just don’t teach. (I was proud of my 3 in AP Music Theory… that class was bloody hard! The 2 in US History was due to the fact that our teacher literally taught NOTHING about US History the entire year.)
