woo tan2007 i have almost every single one same as you (including putting en mexique though it should be au. >.< how annoying i doubted myself last second). i only had these few differences, but i could be wrong:

i put the same as you, but i was thinking what if it’s lui? but probably not, i think it’s just l’ for ‘him’, not ‘to him’… just doubting myself. XD

also put c’ and i’m wondering if it could be il. but have no idea at this moment

yes i almost put que on the test, but as a very very last minute thing i changed it to dont. :)

really rien? i put aucune, which i think works too?

yay again cuz on the test i almost put lui, but then last minute realized it should be leur. lol. just being happy about that

ahhh was it de? i put des. >.<

i put aurait pu instead of avait pu. dunno

i put a fait instead of avait fait. dunno

also pretty sure and put that, but could it be vient? -no idea-

i put pour?

que, but dont is probably right

i think this is definitely aucune

i put des?

a fait

– Yes, you’re right, it should be “au” (On dit “le Mexique”, hence “au”; but “la France”, which would require the preposition “en”.)

– Aucune (“no news” (not “nothing news”) = aucune nouvelle

– Avait faitE [remember to agree the past participle with the direct object, here “la promesse,” if the direct object precedes the verb.]

30 – Venait. “Venir de” is never used in the pass

Ahhh that makes sense. And yeah, I stand corrected for #13. If it were “rien” it’d be “rien de nouveau”… Oops, lol.

If you want to know how much the fill-ins count for, here’s the formula from the 2008 released exam:

Multiple Choice:

[ Number correct (out of 39) - (1/3 x number wrong) ] * 1.0256= Listening subtotal
[ Number correct (out of 46) - (1/3 x number wrong) ] * 0.8695= Reading subtotal

Free Response:

Function Word Fill-Ins number correct (out of 30) * 0.5333 + Essay (out of 9) * 2.666 + Speaking questions 1-5 (out of 25)* 1.6000

je pense que j’ai rate l’examen, mais, maintenant tout est bien qui fini bien.

i thought the speaking was the only thing that was beast. i totally got dominated by it. but everything else was relatively easy… tho i cant really remember what i put for the FRQs

ok just wondering cause my guidance couselor spoke with me on friday about playback error with the MC questions. Did anyone decide to retake that portion of the test? I chose not to since it was only a few questions.

I’m retaking the listening/reading portion tomorrow. My CD kept skipping so I had to guess on a portion of the reading…so I thought I would just do it again. Plus, I would really hate myself if I hadn’t retaken and got a 4 knowing I was given a second chance…

understandable. Our CD was playing the questions too quickly and my counselor told me it was only affected like 2 questions so that’s why I chose not to but in your case that makes sense.
