I love it! And what isn't nuts is flakes?

I'm new at this, but very excited! These are awesome ideas! Another idea is sending items that aren't just good for the tummy, but the heart as well. Something personalized or themed. I'm planning on investing in seasonal cookie cutters, no two packages will be alike!

HEY! Guess what!? I bopped onto Amazon to look for a book & found this:
an online grocery store to send more boodle!
http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=amb_link_3184592_1/103-3556680-3691805?ie=UTF8&node=16310101

Thanks JM...going forward I will order all my cheerios on amazon.com :D

All they need now is a milk cow. LOL

I had been sending Jake all of the usual stuff in his care package thinking it was all good. When I heard from him, he said it took too long to eat the food I sent. He wanted something soft to stuff into his mouth quickly with high calories: He asked for TWINKIES. So I bought a package at Costco and sent it. SUCCESS!!!!!!! They went so fast, I had to send more. Of course, some stayed at home for DAD and brother!

Oops, there was a more recent boodle thread. Dang, I just got over-excited about brownies! Thanks to MOT for these...far and away Spider's fav boodle so far.

Hello, thank you for all the ideas and info posted. Please tell me if boxes sent from home have to be a certain size / type. Also, are you allowed to send any time or only once a month.

Thank you so much…

I had fun reading this old thread. Great info. Waiting for son’s permanent USNA address.

The best beef jerky on the planet is Ede’s from Amarillo, Texas. I work all over…out in the field…take it along often and all of my clients (ok, mostly men) are always asking “Did you bring that jerky this time?” These guys are some awesome cajun cooks, Texas BBQ afficianados, etc. I looked at their web page and do not see a provision for ordering it. Sent them a message inquiring…

By the way, I am a mom, and I love the jerky, as does my daughter. Of course, we are in the cattle business. Ede’s also sells the seasoning, if you are inclined to take on the jerky makin’ at home.

With the academic year just about a month away, it’s time to revive this thread. These are all well tested by service academy cadets/mids. It should even give parents time to try the foods to see which we like best before sending. I hope all the links are still active. I’ve also added a few more at the end.

I know this is an old forum, but: my cadet did not like 1/2 what was in pre-packaged boodle boxes and many were so overpriced. I got a stack of large flat-rate boxes from the post office - they are free - (if it fits, it ships) and I do my own…filled with healthy snacks and fun things (deck of cards, DVDs they can watch on their PC)…and STUFF it full…same price to ship no matter how much is in there!
