I had considered acting for a long time now... but the thought being an editor perked my interests.

Considering when you live a life in an Asian family, you get bad remarks on both of these things that I prefer and love by far (I am decent in math/science but my love is not in the fields of Engineering/CS/Medical/etc).

I understand that both do not provide a "stable" career and I will probably double in Business (Accounting?) if they both really aren't that stable.
I am just curious which would be easier to get a job and have a stable gain of money (or at least near decent).

And if I were to want to enter the career path of Book Editing, what degree should I get? I here so many people getting different degrees, but I am curious of what degree is the best for this field.
I'm guessing a English Language and Literature, General?

Also pondering this:
If a person edits a book that becomes a bestseller, does the person editing get anything (recognition, money)? Or only the author.?
