Book Recommendation PLEASE (something that is useful during admission)

Please suggest me books that is useful when it comes to writing an application. So for example, the books that are useful for college essay writing, admission books, etc. I am so many choices and don't know which one is good. I would like to see a lot of rec. Gonna go buy the books this summer!! So please, HELP!

Here's a few, maybe they'll help:

A is for Admission by Michele Hernandez

Acing the College Application by Michele Hernandez

On Writing the College Application Essay by Harry Bauld

The Early Admissions Game by Christopher Avery, Andrew Fairbanks and Richard Zeckhauser

The Truth About Getting In by Katherine Cohen

College Admissions Trade Secrets by Andrew Allen

Harvard Schmarvard by Jay Mathews

Admissions Confidential by Rachel Toor

And I would say that the first one is tops w/ the fourth book being the best if you're looking into EA/ED, and good luck, but don't try to hard to beat the system but rather work with it. The last two I couldn't tell you much about just heard from others.

I suggest a book that eliminates "gonna" from your vocabulary. Definitely not one for the admissions essay

do these books really help you that much? isn't most of the stuff common sense or accessible through GC?
