I'll try to keep this short:

I'm a Classics major and have stuck mostly to humanities classes throughout my undergrad education. I am planning to start law school next fall, and at this point, I am almost completely void of knowledge on anything like economics, finance, etc.

I know this is a very broad question, but does anyone have ANY book recommendations of things someone like me could read to just get started? I want to be able to understand the basics of the stock market, have a firmer understanding of what, for example, politicians are really talking about when they discuss economics plans, etc.

Any suggestions you guys have would be great, thanks for the help.
