<p>Depends on the student and the classes they are taking.
Some classes require/suggest you bring a textbook around since the work that you do is on the textbook (coursepacks,etc). Others do not require textbooks at all.
But typically, I would say I see more bags, but some students do use messengers and totes. I personally use my bag most of the time, but if my classes are light and/or I don’t have to bring my textbooks, I’m more than happy to use my messenger.</p>
