I suppose that’s why they make wheeled briefcases, you know, for all the seven year olds that use briefcases.

i dont know what world you live in Emaheevul07 but i have never seen someone roll a briefcase, that would be even more lame than rolling a backpack, because how heavy can a briefcase be?

also, your post is irrelevant, the fact that they make them has no context in this debate, it would only be important if people used them (which they dont, because they are big strong grown ups who can carry their briefcases)

Obviously they do or I wouldn’t have seen them. What bag is worth being such an insufferable ******* about?

quote

Is this a joke? I’ve seen a TON of them at my dad’s office. They hold more than a standard briefcase too. If you’re wearing a suit, and the briefcase is to heavy to carry in one hand (which is certainly possible even if they’re “big strong grown ups”, you’re not going to carry it on a shoulder, wrinkling your suit.

JanSport is the God of all backpacks.

My JanSport is better than yours.

My JanSport brings all the boys to the yard.

Do you carry dead bodies around school?..it’s not gonna hurt your knees…just carry your god damn backpack lol

The North Face Surge is a great backpack, with a place for a laptop and everything.

There are some really nice backpacks like Booq for macs and such which use higher quality materials and will protect your laptop better.

Well, youofeh, OP did ask if they should get one that could fit a small child…

haha

I would never openly ridicule anyone for their backpack choice but inside I’d be thinking the same thing.

I have a serious foot condition that for the longest time hampered my ability to carry anything, let alone a few textbooks in a backpack. Fortunately the worst was during last summer, so it was never a big deal.

For all you know a backpack could cause damage or pain to that posters knees.

I see lots of people (young/old/strong/those w/an injury etc etc) using rolling style backpacks/briefcases everyday!
I say…use whatever you are all most comfortable with…and please be respectful …you never really know why a person is using a particular item…!

Don’t get an eastsport, btw. The lining peels and gets EVERYWHERE.

Well…um…dang…I got a lot of extra baggage with this question…
(HAH. puns…)
Anyways, as OP I deem you ALL losers so therefore the argument is closed. I have the power to do that right? RIGHT?!
Thank you all for your advice…I actually was thrown a free (medium-small) bookbag and received a messenger bag with a removable laptop sleeve too by Kipling recently! For free! Woo!
So I guess I’ll be mixing those up and see how it goes. And if all else fails, I’ll just invest in a rolling bookbag…
