Does anyone have or know where to find a booklist of good books to read in preperation for SAT critical reading. Many people (and prep books) say that reading a lot of books are good. But I'm assuming that some books may be too childish or subpar to SAT level passages.

I would use books from the AP lists over the years. Books such as Heart of Darkness, Crime and Punishment, Invisible Man, any Dickens, Shakespeare, or Tolstoy, or other commonly used books. Then, either individually or with others (preferred), do close readings (spend a few dozen minutes on a couple of passages) to practice. I have found this helpful in English, and for the SAT II Literature test that I will retake, It is great preperation.

... Or you could always just use a Critical Reading workbook if you wanted some preparation directly for the test.

Have you guys ever tried reading the NY TImes Book Reviews? They are pretty hard to understand and good practice for CR.
