Books: AP Prep vs Subject Test Prep

Hey guys I was wondering if you recommend using AP Prep books for the Subject Tests instead of Subject Test Prep books? I prefer being thorough so I was thinking perhaps AP Prep books would be best to self study for either of the following: Biology E/M, Math 2, Physics and Chemistry.

Math 2 you should get a subject test book (preferably Barron’s). AP is apparently harder, though you may get caught studying things that won’t be on the test.

Barrons is harder in general, but so is AP.
For Math, there really isn’t any completely equivalent AP math test so you really can’t use an AP prep book for that
I know for Chemistry that the AP test is always harder. You need more information and are expected to deliver more. For example, The AP Chem book for Barrons is about the same size as the blue book for ALL sat subject tests, whereas most of the materials covered in the ap book go too much in depth for the subject SAT test. If you have the time and/or are going to be enrolled in a Chemistry class or take the test then I would advise you to study the AP prep book. Same for other sciences I would assume.

Also, another note for Chem, if you do end up using the AP book the AP curriculum currently does not cover lab equipment identification in most textbooks and/or your class, and for sure not in any AP prep books. Be sure you are familiar with different pieces of lab equipment before the test.
