Books for a 2400 (if you have time)

These books are best. I swear, if you finish them, a guaranteed 2400. At this point, its not luck that determines the perfect score.

GENERAL PREP
1. Blue Book, official guide.
2. Buy Klasstutoring answers to the bluebook (it gives you solutions for the questions in bluebook)

PREP FOR MATH
3. Use Grubers new SAT for math review
4. Use the Math SAT 800: How To Master the Toughest Problems ... if you really want to get that last problem right. otherwise you ll get a 2380. if you were 20 points away from a perfect score, you can do it.

PREP FOR CR
5. buy rocket review, read over it , and chill.

6. just read everything u can

PREP FOR VOCAB
1. buy hotwords for the SAT
2. as you are solving the bluebook, look up all the words u dont know
3. wordsmart I
4. wordsmart II

PREP FOR MORE TESTS
1. after perusing (you should know what this means by now, haha) this site, there seems to be this "Xiggi" who finds other tests, such as Princetons review, barrons,...etc to be completely useless. Good point, but at this level, all you want is practice...
2. so start from Kaplan 12 Practice Tests for the SAT, 2009 Edition ...
3. then go to princetons review 11 practice tests (one is the PSAT)

That should do it.
This will cost about 230 dollars. Much better than taking a stupid prep course. by the way, dont take any internet prep courses, since the practice tests are very different. you cant really use process of elimination for internet courses.

Caveat:
Have fun studying, you guys will be able to finish all this in 9months, if you guys are diligent.

These books can NOT guarantee and 2400. They can surely get you prepared, but they can’t guarantee a perfect score. When it comes down to it, you need some luck. Anyways, this is a really good comprehensive list for anyone who wants to self study. Thanks for the post

It would be bold enough to say that your prep plan would yield a guaranteed 2300 :expressionless: I don’t mean to say that it is not good, but you can’t guarantee scores that high just like that.

That’s a winner! lol

you could probably guarantee a 2100+ with that, considering not everyone’s a good test taker

ok thanks for the comments guys. i really appreciate the feedback!
yes, i admit, in order to gain some attention, i said 2400.
But, hey, it’s definitely possible.

most people who get a 2300+ take about average 25 practice tests.

I think, if you are diligent, 88 should do it. after 88, if you don’t get 2300+, either you didn’t go over the answers, or you are an idiot. I don’t care if you are a bad test taker. after solving these many questions, you must. MUST be fit.
So what I posted above is like a beginner’s guide.

This is more advanced plan. I am going through this right now… But I still have to finish at least 15 practice tests…

so:
10 from the blue book
10 from the PR book
12 from the Kaplan book
5 from the Gruber book
1 from Rocket review
10 from McGraw Hill
10 from Barron’s
10 from the old blue book
10 Real SAT’s
optional:
10 from the Online SAT course

Haha, I read something like that in Andre Agassi’s autobiography. His father made him hit 2500 balls each day=17500 a week=almost a million a year and claimed that numbers don’t lie, and at that rate Agassi was bound to become world’s no.1 tennis player.

Good luck with your prep plan. BTW, the old BB had 8 … the new one has 7/8 of old BB’s tests plus 3 new ones.

Some people simply are not intelligent enough to get a 2300 on this test.
