i
m starting to prep for the new SAT. does anyone know if there is a good book to buy? i
m in my earlier years of high school, so everything is relatively new to me.

There are 15 threads on this, at the very minimum.

The Official SAT Study Guide: For the New SAT, by the College Board seems great. It's pretty cheap, about $15, and has like 8 practice tests. The only bad thing about it is that the explanations to the answers are not in the book, and you have to pay $69 on the College Board website for them.

And they give you a range of possible final scores for your raw score. For example, instead of 64 = 770, you have 64 = 700-800. Big help... I guess you have to refer back to past SATs to get a general idea what your raw score will most likely be converted to.

Has anyone tried the Kaplan 2400 book? Is it as good as the Kaplan 1600 book?

Kaplan 2400 is loaded with errors---there's a recent thread all about it if you want more information.

What kind of errors--spelling and grammar errors or math calculation-type errors?

I think its mostly in the math section but they recently realeased a corrections pdf on their website.
