<p>In my opinion, the best information source is right here. Read the archives here, ask loads of questions, take notes. There are more "experts" here on admissions to elite colleges than in any book.</p>
<p>I'm sure others will have some actual books to suggest as well. :)</p>
<p>You'll find lots of suggestions here on CC ref books. My favorites are: Fiske Guide to Colleges and the Princeton Review's Top 3XX Colleges and Universities.</p>
