BOOKS por favor!

I am looking for some book recomendations. I am a high school junior (female). I am not a HUGE fantasy fan but here are some of the ones that i have read and enjoyed.

A Great and Terrible Beauty
Rebel Angels (I really enjoy the old-ish time periods, but I don't know of many books like that)

Tamora Pierce books

Harry Potters

Sloppy First
Second Helpings (Teen angst at its best)

Angus thongs books

Faerie Wars

And a lot of teen books...The books above are pretty much the only fantasys that I have read. It has to have at least a LITTLE romance in it. Any other suggestions? THANKS

I'm not as much of a reader as I was a few years ago, but I have some recommendations:

If you like fantasy, Robert Jordan and David Eddings are two outstanding authors.

As far as individual books, hmm

'The Great Train Robbery'-Micheal Crighton-my all time favorite
'The Descent'-Jeff Long-sci-fi/fantasy, verrrrry good/scary
'Siddartha'-Herman Hesse-spiritual/coming of age, love this one also

That's all I got right now...

There are a lot of books that are fun and easy reads...

East of Eden by Steinbeck reads like a charm.
Catch-22 is always a good read.
I just read John Adams by David McCullough, and would recommend it.
Also consider most books by Crichton if you just want fun and easy reading.

well I don't really like fantasy, but I do like the old school stuff that takes place in 1800's or maybe when there were kings and stuff. I usually like to read trashy teen novels liek gossip girl :P....I haven't read in forever adn I want to start again, so I am looking for some good books that are similar to the ones that I haave listed.

American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson
Requiem for a Dream by Hubert Shelby Jr.

None of these are fantasy, more about drugs.

i just finished everthing is illuminated by jonathan safran foer. easy read.
