I'm pretty sure there are other places to get cheaper textbooks for our classes than at the bookstore, but how do I get the ISBN's? Do you think if I call them, they'll give the numbers up?

haha, no. They won't give you the numbers. I've already tried that several times. I asked them as several personas and they never gave them. My friends tried also. there is one guy who constantly picks up the phone so if he isn't there it might be possible.

if you go on the bookstore website you can, if the prof has given the list to the store, find out which books you will be using for the class. you have to know the section to ensure you get the right books. once you find out the books the author and title are listed and you can just google it and then find the isbn. it takes some extra time but is well worth it. oh and if you can buy your books now to ensure you get the used books b/c after the first week of classes you will have to buy new b/c the used will be gone.

right, I actually did the whole google thing, and there were several versions..I wasn't too sure, I didn't want to risk it...so I was just wondering..maybe I'll spend more time with that..

definitely. Some books you will have to buy new since they are all gone. If you know the edition (very important), author, and title, you should be able to find the right book. It's actually a lot simpler than you think. I've been buying since 10th grade in high school and have never bought a book that was not used.

go for the most recent edition especially with science. and if you are really bold you can email your prof and ask them what books you might be using. some will not require any books and some probably haven't turned their list into the bookstore.

check out vandyswap too.
