Books.

Have you guys gotten yours yet? (The book for One Book One Northwestern)

I haven't, and it's worrying me a little.

HAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA! I don’t think too many people bother to read that. Besides, I heard Mountains Beyond Mountains is a snore-fest.

If anything, we’ll all bond over another topic.

My son didn’t get his yet either Sky.

^ good, so they haven’t forgotten about me.

Wait…after that last post, I’m confused. Do you mean, “Have you gotten your book sent to you from NU?”

^ I’m pretty sure thats what skywalker meant… I don’t see anything confusing about it haha

Is it a required read? What I mean is, do you have to do anything after you read the book? Just asking because I really would not like to read that book - it seems to have some political undertones. Not to mention I’d rather be reading something else!

I was confused because I wasn’t aware NU actually sent students the book. I guess from the One Book One NU FAQ they do. Weird. xD

If you’re getting worried, you can read it online: [One Book One Northwestern 2010-2011](http://onebooknu.com/), under “Read”

The FAQ on the general project website says you can expect the book in early August.

Even though it may not sound that interestiNg, I’m still gonna give it a chance. It seems to be a very well-respected book so it wouldn’t hurt to read it~

Yeah the book isn’t mentioned much beyond orientation so theres no reason to read it. If you enjoy books and just wanna read it, have at it, but you dont have to at all.

Mountains beyond Mountains was a inspiring read. I highly suggest it for all.

My copy never came…>.<

That’s a shame, I thought it was excellent. You can read it online, but I recommend just borrowing a copy from a friend if you have some spare time.

I remember reading one chapter from my book and then selling it to Norris at the end of the year.

They said if a copy never comes, they can give u one during welcome week.

I found it terribly boring, but if ur into that…not boring i guess

I thought the book was great and so did my daughter - very inspiring and important.

Very important that you thought the book was great.
