How do most students buy their books at Kenyon?
Do profs make buying books online convenient (giving students time for books to ship, or publish book lists in advance)? Or do most students find the immediate convenience of the campus bookstore the way to go?
Also, if someone in the Humanities could give me a rough estimate of what your books cost/semester, that’d be awesome!
Daughter is a freshman in the Humanities. Bought at the bookstore, lots of used. Some profs put out advance booklist. I think they encourage buying at the bookstore (and is convenient) you can return them when done, though don’t get much back. 1st semester hard to buy online because you are the last as a freshman to register and classes start next day. $600 1st semester, $450 second. English class had about 10 books to buy 1st semester. Latin was used all year so that cuts down on cost. Welcome to Kenyon!!! Go Ladies and Lords!!!
