I am an engineering major and am planning on taking summer school to boost my GPA. I am planning on taking poli sci/anthro/etc. Should I be taking easy science classes instead to boost my "science GPA" instead of my overall GPA? Someone had mentioned a "science GPA" to me. Does this even matter? The only two GPAs that I thought would be considered are my major GPA and my overall GPA

that depends on what you want to do later in life . . . . . . if its medicine then it counts big time but it probably isnt since youre an engineer. do companies look at your gpa for internships or something? if they do, then they probably only care about major gpa and maybe overall gpa.

i'd much rather take GEs though

????????? again it depends on what you want to do later in life. that "someone" was a premed student no doubt. i think as long as youre not premed youre fine with whatever you want to take

scratch that thought above. even if you were premed, they wont like to see all those gpa boosting easy science courses that nonscience majors take according to some of the clubs i listened in on (and gpa boosting nonscience ges wont really help you anyways since your science gpa will remain the same). best thing is to actually gut it out in the required courses. this is only if youre premed though, which again im assuming youre not since youre an engineer
