<p>I have been doing some reading about basic cadet training and the number of pair of boots you will need. I was just wondering if you are able to buy two pair of boots at orientation or will I have to buy one pair then and wait until I-Day to receive my second pair?</p>
<p>You can buy one or two pairs, it's your choice. I've heard some say it's better to get just one at first, though.</p>

<p>My son has something in his packet which says he'll be required to purchase 2 pairs of boots, at a cost of around $183 total for both pairs.</p>
<p>Generally, the advice has been buy one pair and break them in as you probably don't want to be carrying around two pairs of boots on I-day. You'll be issued a second pair once you're there.</p>
<p>You DO NOT want to be lugging around an extra pair of boots on I-day!
Also, you really only need one pair...preferably broken in by I-day.</p>
<p>I bought my bellville 650 boots today, do i just need to bring regular boots with me or do i need to bring my ABU boots as well as some regular bellevilles? i am confused. :/</p>

<p>My D is confused too...The Appointee book says you'll need "two pair" but it's vague as to what the other pair should be??? Is it two pair of the Belleville's or is the second pair something else? We're hoping that after someone returns from the Orientation they'll be able to clarify for us. So for now D has purchased one pair of the Belleville 650's. She LOVES them. She said they are as comfy as a running shoe!</p>

<p>No, don't cancel. You definitely need the Belleville 650's. We're just not sure if you need a second pair of the same kind, or if the second pair is something different.</p>
<p>What I can gather form the information is that we need to get one pair of ABU boots and one pair of boots for basic training since you can shine and polish them. So we use our ABU boots during the academic year. THats all i can gather from the information. But i know just as much as you all.</p>
