So I guess everyone got their boots during orientation? I’m not really sure because I was not able to make it to the orientation. But now, I am bootless but I have heard that you also are able to get them during I-day. Does anyone know any more information about this? Any word would be great, thank you!

You'll have two pairs of boots for Basic. They'll issue you zero, one, or two pairs as necessary during Inprocessing. The only difference, therefore, is that you'll be given two new pairs of boots while the guy next to you might only be getting one.

Ahh I see, might sound stupid, but why two pairs? Are they both the same thing? And also is it going to be hard on my feet since they are not broken in yet? Someone that I talked to on the phone about the boots told me that they have improved them greatly and are not so hard on the feet anymore in terms of blisters and such.

You'll need two pairs for times when one pair is wet.
They are the same thing.
No, the ABU boots are supposedly quite comfy and don't need to be broken in.
Whoever you talked to is right.
:)

Yeah, I've been wearing mine a bit and I didn't get any blisters at all from wearing them all day, the first time

I've been wearing my boots as well. I've put 14 miles of running into them so far this past week, and they already feel pretty broken in. They get pretty hot though with those thick boot socks! Chung, I think you'll be OK, and very likely not the only one receiving your boots on I-day.

Has anyone else noticed the inner liner coming loose at the toe? It happened to the first pair I got @ orientation, so I sent in for a new pair . . . but it's doing it again! The boot issue guy said a lot of the Wellcos are having this problem. I guess they used a bad glue or something. Fortunately it's not too noticable, I can only feel it if I wiggle my toes around.

Thank you all so much for your replies =]
