Bored?

well of course i'm kind of worried that in applying to Columbia. Its an Ivy League School! So i was hoping that you, perferably accepted columbia students, could not only chance me but give me hints on what more i can do. Here i go.

I'm currently a Junior

GPA- 3.91 (UW) 4.1 (W)
Class Rank- Top 4%
ACT- 32
SAT II- US History 780, Math II 700

Ap Classes: (Ap Test Score)
Sophmore- EuroHist (3)
Junior- USHist (planning) Chem (not planning)
Senior- English, Physics, Government, Calculus

E.C.: (Leadership)
NHS (Historian)
Youth for Social and Economic Justice (Vice President)
Relay for Life(Vice President)
Student Council
Youth in Government

Volunteer:
American Youth Soccer Organization
Food Pantry
Hospital
(Don't keep track of hours, I enjoy being there too much to worry about that stuff, sorry)

Essay: Amazing! I talk about how far one generation could go. From my father's educaton of being read to under a tree in arabia to his son possible going to an ivy league school. Give me your opinions on this! And i'm thinking of adding this one story of how me and a friend always battled in English class, we both always got A's. The one difference is that his mom is a high school english teacher and my mom can't speak any english. Is this too much?

Letters of Rec: My counselor is amazing at these. She got one student into Brown. My English teacher will right a great one i am sure and one of my AP history teachers will right me one, i am always involved in their class.

Come from a very poor family. Stay at home mom, 6 kids, dad makes under 30K

Any advise?

Your moniker is disturbing and bad karma.

Haha, that's what I was thinking.

^^Lol.

You have almost a year before you apply, so it would be a good idea to retake some of those tests. A 32 ACT isn't competitive for Columbia, so you should definitely either retake that or take the SAT (and then retake that twice). Your Math II score could also use some improvement.

Also, why would you write your application essay a year in advance?
