BORING reading passages

Anyone else hate the passages concerning Black history and women's rights? I myself am an African American male but I prefer short stories and novels that are tangent from those two subjects.
Also, some of the passages sound like the authors swallowed a thesaurus before writing his/her novel.

Any tips and tricks to get through boring passages? I am currently struggling with a 590-600 CR reading score on my past 3 practice tests.

If its really boring and you’re a decent reader, I would suggest doing more of a skim and then when the question says refer back to the passage or found in lines here to here go back and read the line or 2 before and after and that should help. It might take a little more time, but IMO you should go back for every passage with every question even if you have a good memory.

Lmao “swallowed a thesaurus”
