Boston College Class of 2023 Early Action Thread

@finn1313 maybe send an email to your admissions rep? The person from admissions that covers your high school? I think that would be the best person. Maybe update them with any new accomplishments, let them know you are doing well senior year. etc. Can’t hurt.

Hi congratulations! I’m applying for regular decision but I havn’t submitted my application yet… I have same stats as you except… my SAT is a 1210… what would you advise? Do you mind posting your extracirriculars and etc? Thank you!

@allosaurus, I think you’ll be fine. I sent my son’s in pretty late when he applied RD 2 years ago and he still got a very generous package at the same time as everyone else. I actually forgot again this year with my daughter applying EA… I sent in everything and forgot about tax forms until yesterday. You should still see an offer at the appropriate time.

did anyone receive the gabelli scholarship with the package or is that sent to you seperately

From the BC website

“Letters of invitation to the candidates selected for Gabelli Presidential Scholars Program interviews (GPSP Selection Process) were mailed on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 by the Office of Undergraduate Admission. The invitation to be interviewed for the GPSP was included in the relevant acceptance packets. Please note, due to the large volume of applicants for Boston College’s Early Action round, we are only able to notify those students who were selected to be interviewed.”

so im guessing then we would have had a letter included in the folder we got

Not at all.

Bingo! They try to get the aid processed as fast as they can, and obviously, those accepted EA ('Grats, btw), want to know if BC is affordable to them. The point is that being a late will not negatively impact any financial aid that you may receive.

'Grats, again. And Welcome to the new Eagles.

Wait so does that mean they are only sending out the normal acceptance packets to the people who got the scholarships? I’m confused
