Deferred
ACCEPTEDDDDD
My son was deferred for the Nursing school at BC. He is bummed, as are we, but hopeful for later. He did get into UPitt which has a great nursing school but BC is his #1 choice. Congrats to those who got in
How did you apply REA to Notre Dame and also EA to BC?
Applying REA to BC and Notre Dame and Georgetown for that matter is allowed. You just aren’t allowed to apply ED anywhere if you are applying REA.
Son accepted to MCAS. 1490 SAT/3.7 UWGPA. Strong EC and Recs. Legacy. “Assigned 4 years of campus housing”. Typically kids get 3 years of housing at BC, wondering if this has changed. Did anyone else get 4 years of campus housing?
I’m a BC grad and my daughter is a junior there now. It seems like more kids get 4 years housing than when I was there in the 80’s, but I think it is technically given to the “top” applicants. There are exceptions…I think athletes might get 4 years and some other groups that have a need to be on campus more. My daughter still opted off campus as a junior because she wanted to stay with her friend group and some had 4 years and some had 3. They will all move back on for senior year, hoping to get a mod…
@xyz123a I have 4 years housing on mine as well
Deferred
Denied first one. It’s a weird feeling, but it sucks.
I got four years of housing as well. Looks like I’m top 15% of the class!
“All students are guaranteed three years of on campus housing, with half of each incoming class guaranteed four years of campus housing. Students who are awarded four years of campus housing are: students with physical disabilities, NCAA full scholarship athletes, students in the Connell School of Nursing, and the top 15% of the incoming class.”
I was guaranteed four years of housing as well. @cmac72466 where did you read that?
@lrose00 It’s on the BC website under the FAQ’s about campus life
@bigchoices2018 okay thank you!
I was accepted with 4 years of housing! Anyone heard anything about the Gabelli scholarship?
How do you guys know how many years of housing you were accepted with?
@collegemomjam I applied and go into both. Notre Dames REA policy just states that you cant apply ED anywhere, you can still apply early action to any school you want to
Yes, I know. I think someone else was asking about also applying ED. Georgetown, BC, and Notre Dame all have the same policies on REA. And I don’t think they will cave to all of the schools offering ED now and start doing the same.
@skico2018 they said that that info should come with your physical acceptance letter if you are being considered as a finalist.
@User1555 it says it in the acceptance letter, a few paragraphs down
Accepted to CSOM! Can someone share a link to where it says 4 years of housing is only for top 15% of applicants?
Also… @lrose00 website says acceptance letters are supposed to arrive by mail on Christmas
Wishing for good news about Pres. Scholars on Christmas to everyone who got in!
