3.8 UW, aiming for a 1480 sat, and i’m currently a dei officer for a computer science council, launched and managing a microcredential project with UCSD, varsity field hockey player, 2 jobs. those are just some of my main ecs. i’m also legacy which i hope will help boost my chances ;-;
also totally forgot but, i plan to major in comp sci with a concentration in bioinformatics!
My daughter is applying ED. 97.86 UW GPA, 1530 SAT, varsity and club athlete, editor of school newpaper, research/journal publication with science professor, local community service project founder. Applying as a biology major.
My daughter is also applying ED1. She’s undecided about her major - will be applying to Morrissey and then - if she gets in - plans to take advantage of the Core Curriculum to try some different potential majors out until she needs to declare.
Hi all,
My daughter is also applying ED 1, good luck to all! I would love to connect with other parents on this page and on Facebook if our kids get in! I forgot how to tag people, it’s been 3 years since my last kid applied to colleges, haha
Anybody apply yet? I hope we get more action on this thread! My daughter applied today!!
Not ED, but my D ranked BC through Questbridge Match. Her application is completed and submitted. Good luck everyone!
Anybody else apply and look at the financial
Portal?
My daughter just applied last night. Based on last year’s ED thread, decisions are likely to come out in early December, which seems so fast!
I know! We submitted all the financial docs and css through IDOC but the Financial Aid portal is only showing they received FAFSA and not the other docs.
My girl decided not to apply ED. Wants to weigh her options (also applying to Syracuse, Brown, Penn, Dartmouth, Lehigh, GW, Penn State, URI). I still think she has a good shot, but who knows. She loved the Forensic Science program at SU.
FOR TRANSFERS ONLY:
Any guesses yet as to when ED1 decisions will come out? It looks like from prior years that they usually come out the first Thursday in December. This year, that would be December 1, which seems quite early, so I’m guessing December 8th?
You need to download financial stuff directly on their site, otherwise they won’t process your request, and even then, if you haven’t heard anything, I would advise that you check with them that they have all that they need.
Hoping it’s 12/1!! First Thursday
Actually I called, and for new applications it is their very first year using IDOC. For current students they still upload on the BC portal. She said as long as we submitted to IDOC we are all set.
Easier for sure!
December 1st or December 8th decision??? Thoughts.
Anyone know BC admission stats on ED1 vs. ED2? I assume getting in ED2 is harder…
