Hey guys!

I want to major in economics/finance, and later go into law school. Which one has a better chance of allowing me to get into a better law school or find work after graduation?

Also, at both places, I have been recruited onto a sports team. However, I don't have to go to a school where sports is a really big thing. I just want to do it for fun.

I want to go to a school where everyone is friendly and people don't pressure you into partying and drinking.

Where should I go? Thanks!

Academically, they are similar with a slight edge, IMHO, to Brandeis. Sport wise, they are very different. BC is DI and ACC. Brandeis is D III and UAA. Basically, Brandeis has scholars who like sports and BC has semi-pro athletes. Different world.

I wouldn’t call BC a party school but compared to Brandeis it is. That is not to suggest that you can’t have a good time at Brandeis. But for most Brandeis students academics are #1, with social justice #2. At BC, academics are #1 for some, but sports and/or partying are #1 for others.

If you are smart and mostly into your academic work, you likely will prefer Brandeis. If you are smart but more into sports, partying, or a Jesuit influence, you likely will prefer BC. They are both good places but will attract a different type of student.
