I have a tough choice to make…whether to attend BC or Lehigh. Any advice?

i would pick BC. its a smaller school with more research opportunities. in terms of academics, bc > lehigh overall.

Bump bump bump

Lehigh is much smaller than BC. Both are hilly, have Gothic-style architecture, and have student bodies mostly from the Northeast.

The big differences are Lehigh is far from a big city and BC’s campus is overlapping the ultimate big city college town; also, Lehigh has lots of engineers and frats, while BC has zero frats and zero engineers.

Being a humanities-type guy myself, I’ve always been bored silly when I’ve been around engineers (and I’m sure the vice was versa). Likewise, frats also seem to be polarizing (i.e., love 'em or hate 'em).

I visited both schools, and liked BC a lot better.

Lehigh is nice on the outside, but the inside of the buildings are pretty old and outdated.
Lehigh is also located in an old steel mill town, a little grungy, and not too much to do from the looks of it.

BC has a beautiful campus, and its new on the inside. It’s also located in Boston, so a lot of stuff to do.

The people at BC seemed a lot nicer and well rounded than those at Lehigh.

BC is known for better academics, and has more connections that Lehigh.

Hope that helps. Good luck.

location, location, location.
You really can’t beat boston- lehigh quite frankly is in the middle of nowhere, and bethlahem is not the greatest area. Although, I understand your dilemma I had the same issue. Lehigh is smaller, but still has a big school spirit like BC has… but maybe not as big. I dont think Lehigh is as well known as BC (even though it is just as good as a school)
But what held me up was the greek life. Its a shame BC doesnt have greek life because i think thats a big selling point for some people on Lehigh

Likewise, the lack of Frats is a selling point for some at BC
