So the school contacted my guidance counselor with regards to my supplemental essay. The question asked about my future plans for service. I am a very talented writer and i began with a long anecdote describing my interest in pursuing business in college and what it would mean to me after graduation. Now i wanted to communicate that i would pursue business in a wholesome way and use my skills as a service to not only myself but those i meet along the journey. However this was a little shrouded by the anecdote connecting me to business. I guess the last paragraph that sums it up wasn't as clear as I thought. This is the only school I used this essay for. So my guidance counselor said that the admissions woman called and wanted to give me a chance to change it by a few sentences or explain it. I chose to explain it in a very detailed way and I'm confident my guidance counselor is enough of an orator to convey this thought I'm explaining to you. I was just worried if this was a good or bad sign. Could it be the essay is bad and needs explaining, or they are considering me so much that they took the time out of 35,000 applicants to hear my side of it. It could honestly go either way. If anyone had a similar situation, how did it work out? is this a good or bad sign?

I’m no expert, but it sounds like a good sign. I mean if the BC rep was interested enough to call your counselor, then he or she must really care about giving you a fair chance at the university. Best of luck.

thanks
