Boston College Presidential Scholarship Class of 2019

Hey, got my acceptance letter from Boston College today, admitted to Arts and Sciences Honors College. The website says invitations for the Presidential Scholarship interviews were with the acceptance packet, but previous years' threads on here say it came separately. Anyone get the interview invitation yet? I'm in Illinois.

Same thing happened here. I expected to get an invite, but there was nothing about the presidential in my letter. Kind of disappointing. I’m hoping the invite is in a different letter.

Yes, I got into the Honors Program in the College of Arts and Sciences but didn’t receive the invitation for the Presidential Scholarship… I thought I would as I have a 35 ACT and 3.95 GPA with plenty of AP classes, and great essays.

They were sent together! I got accepted EA to BC (Honors in College of A&S) today and my invite for the Presidential Scholars Program came in the same envelope. I’m in Mississippi, ACT of 34 and GPA of 3.89 unweighted. I felt really great about my essays and I have 10 APs as well as strong, fairly unique ECs.

Hey congrats. My counselor said they selected 60 people to interview. He said I was in the preliminary group of 200 haha. NOOOOO. I wanted free air tickets  Good luck to you @backto505‌ (btw i like your username), and sorry to everyone else!

I got deferred. I have a 34 ACT, 3.88 uw gpa (4 AP, 9 honors), numerous leadership training courses (both instructor and participant), 900 service hours, Eagle Scout, missionary, I go to one of 2 Department of Education 5 time blue ribbon schools. I have performed in Carnegie Hall, and am going to sing for Pope Francis with my choir over the summer. I am an all state choir member, and all district. I have received my school’s highest award for seniors as a junior. Don’t be discouraged if you get deferred, I just wanted to share this with yall. God bless and Merry Christmas!

@backto505…I hope you realize the leverage being from Mississippi gives you. All colleges like to be able to say their student body or freshman class is from “all 50 states.”. And MS is one of the states that is hardest to get a student from.

Hi everyone! I had a handwritten note on the bottom of my acceptance about my essay but I’m not a presidential scholar! I don’t think it was any indication
