Boston College RD 2012 & '13

Hi does anyone from 2012 remember when they got there admission decision from Boston College to predict when the 2013 Rd’s will come out?

I’ve been wondering the same thing. I just read online that they do not post their decisions online, so I’m assuming they must send out letters.

Does anyone know if this is true? Also, if that is in fact true, will they notify us via email when they begin sending out letters?

According to this year’s EA acceptees, we’ll get letters, not emails. I wish they’d at least send us an email to tell us when they’ve finished reviewing and are mailing out letters. Since they’re not giving us any warning or anything, we’ll have to hold on to our seats from now 'till April 1st. Though, I’m doubting we’ll get it that late, especially since they had less applicants this year. So close, yet so far!! Foaming at the mouth…

I was deferred EA and i received an email with a PDF of the letter before i received the actual letter.

Ohhh… Okay. So they don’t post decisions online, but they do send out emails?

I was accepted EA and they do not send out emails as far as I’m aware. Although, they may send them for international applicants. They do not update the Agora portal for accepted students either until most have been notified via letter of their acceptance. Their website also says this “Candidates will be notified of action taken on their applications no later than April 15. Decisions will not be communicated to applicants via telephone, fax, email, or in person prior to April 1.”

Thats how it worked for me.

That’s actually really late. I guess I ended my college hibernation a bit too early. I’ll see you all again with renewed angst in late March -,-

Yeah that is sort of late. I was hoping to know prior to my Spring Break so that I would have time to plan a visit if all goes well. I really hope we find out before the 1st of April.

Lol that awkward moment when I do the “all the facts but no meaning” supplement essay on religion…oops.

haha no, ram0276!!!

Yup…my life sucks -__- hahah

BC was one of the first acceptances I got in the RD round my year! It was more than a week before April 1st I’m positive

“Following receipt of application materials, the admission office will notify candidates whether their application is complete. Candidates will be notified of action taken on their applications no later than April 15. Decisions will not be communicated to applicants via telephone, fax, email, or in person prior to April 1.”

They don’t say “by mail,” so I think this “decisions will not be communicated to applicants via…” thing is just so people won’t try to email/phone/fax them and clog up all their inboxes and phone lines when their decisions are still “on their way,” ya know?

I’m still hopeful for late march…

I was accepted EA and have already sent in my deposit. I got an email yesterday about signing up for orientation early, because “in a few weeks” the regular decision kids will know and be able to sign up. According to Agora, The ResLife application is also going to be available march 25th, which means that everyone should know by then. I also heard (feel free to correct me) that letters for RD were sent out on the 17th last year! It shouldn’t be too much longer- good luck!

All I know is that it is such a long wait and I just want it to be over! But yet im nervous to see what my decision is! Good luck to everyone and I hope to see you at BC next year!

Did anyone else who was deferred EA have in their letter that you would be informed by April 15th?
I’m just wondering if regular RD applicants will be informed before us?

I don’t think they’d do that. I talked to my college counselor today and he said hes expecting them maybe mid next week. (for everyone)

It’s getting so close. I want the letter to get here now, but at the same time I get so nervous everytime I check my mailbox. Good luck everyone.

I am fairly sure decisions will be sent out soon and we should get them by mail… big envelope means accepted, little envelope means rejected. Agora pages should start changing soon so keep checking!!! good luck to all and i hope to see you all in chestnut hill in the fall!!!
