General Comments (if any): N/A

For accepted people, did anyone get four years of housing? or just three?

For those of you who applied through common app, does the religion that you put down affect the decision?

I got four years of housing @800bday

and I put down non-religious and I got accepted? I’m sure BC doesn’t care about religion @northendfishmarket

@sendmetothemoon congrats on 4 years of housing! My daughter is a current freshman but only got 3 years. I’m curious if you are an athlete or nursing? She seems to think that’s the only people who get four years!

@northendfishmarket I don’t think the religion affects decisions.

@sendmetothemoon how did you check? i have nothing on my agora portal…

@immomtoone — I am a BC freshman who is neither in nursing nor an athlete with 4 years of housing. It is also for the top 15% of the incoming class (whatever that means!). That said, I was on the lower end stats-wise for BC but had very good “soft factors” that might’ve helped me secure that distinction.

It’s not really something people talk about. I’m pretty sure many find it mostly arbitrary, even though it apparently isn’t totally so.

@immomtoone i was accepted to carroll and got four years. was curious to see if that was common

With no more honors, 4 years of housing is really the only way to tell if BC considers you the very top of the applicant pool (not that it matters).

It doesn’t seem like BC cares that much about religion (obviously they have to care a bit to keep the environment “Catholic”). I’m not Catholic, but I got into Notre Dame and Boston College. Also, to everyone wondering about financial aid, the letter I received said the AGORA portal won’t be updated with that information until the 26th of March. So we’ll have to wait and see I guess! Hope this helps!

Just got my rejection from BC. I don’t understand. I’m not trying to be cocky or anything but I thought I’d at least have a chance given my GPA, SAT score, and my ECs.

SAT : 1520/1600
GPA : Weighted (3.97)
EC : 5 years of dance, Tennis (Made Varsity to be the #3 singles women’s tennis player my Sophomore year), 11 years of Piano, NASA Club, Key club and STEM Volunteer, Co- Captain of school’s top level dance team, Film (experienced with skilled editing programs, operating drones, all types of camera devices and equipment, YouTube)
Chosen major : Computer Science

I’ve been getting rejections all over the place. Especially from the UCs as well, such as (San Diego, LA, Davis, Santa Barbara, Cal Poly). I worked so hard just to get rejected from what I thought were the schools I’d have a chance in.I don’t know what to do y’all.

ACCEPTED WOOHOO! Got into Carroll School of Management.
32 ACT, 4.3 GPA, strong extra curricular and teacher recommendations.

Couldn’t be happier right now!! Got into BC and UVA right after!!

Congratulations to my fellow Class of '22 accepted students!
For those that did not get accepted, don’t feel bad, it just means there is another school that you are meant to go to!

EDIT: I also got four years of campus housing, what does that mean exactly? I am forced to stay on campus for 4 years? If anyone could explain I would much appreciate that!

@KimPossible1999, it’s okay! i can empathize. everyone worked hard in high school, it just comes down to luck. i got rejected from a ton of schools (ucla, northeastern, cal poly, the list goes on), but you’ll get into where you fit in. community college isn’t a bad option either, despite the negative stigma around it (especially on cc). best of luck to you!!

where do you see this campus housing?
