For those that did not make it, I know what you are going through in that my son didn’t make other schools or got wait listed. The messages I have read all seem to be from highly qualified, outstanding and talented individuals. Best of luck to you all.
When I interview someone the “name-brand” catches one eye but what always impresses me most are the stories of the personal journey of the education that people endure.
And don’t look back to all the rest who are feeling down tonight. Looking forward to seeing you in all in the senate, courtroom as a judge or operating room someday!
Daughter waitlisted.

Excellent EC, National level figure skater,
Girl Scouts 12 years,
Have no idea why so many with lower stats accepted and those with
hers or higher are being rejected. SMH
Only thought for the high stats kids who were rejected or waitlisted is that BC
Thinks you will not accept as you are probably applying to higher ranked schools and
Now that BC is not restrictive EA they got many more applications for those using BC as a safety
Net if they did not get into the Ivies.
Too bad for my daughter as BC was a dream school.
Nursing students and top 10 or 15 percent of admissions class offered guarantee 4 years housing. The normal BC pattern is 3 years. Everyone moves to housing close by with friends for junior year. Everyone comes back for senior year. You can appeal for the junior year too and many are granted. Most don’t want to. It’s a tradition and most move off and come back. Don’t sweat either way.

@bluebayou I thought that too but my d roommate is a recruited athlete for a major sport. 3 years only. So I don’t know. It would make more sense that it would be as you say. With all the time needed on campus for the sport and the hours.
My bad. They must have changed the policy since my D attended. (The Ed school also got four years of housing back then as those students had to to student teaching at schools around the community.)
Me too, I have same ACT but lower gpa, didn’t even get into dad’s alma mater (Northeastern). Rejected from BC also (it was my first choice). I worked so hard to get my ACT up from a 28, just to get a load of crap from a lot of schools this admissions cycle. It definitely seems like something’s up.
Daughter waitlisted.

Great recs, well loved kid with tons of ECs and leadership positions, music, dance, band, etc. won’t go on the waitlist and may attend Holy Cross or Villanova instead - either would be much more suitable for her.
BC may do aggressive yield management, and wait list many with high stats and little chance to enroll. If you still love BC, send them a letter of continued interest. You may eventually get in.
