Boston College Regular Decision 2019

Hey guys, just thought I’d create a group for RD applicants for any misc. talk about BC. Only one more month to go… go Eagles!

Still waiting to hear back during RD, as I am an EA applicant that was deferred…what’s your major? Best of luck

So nervous! Also applying here. Majoring in econ. What are you all majoring in?

Econ in CSOM!

Can people apply RD post their stats and stuff

Applied to CSOM
3.571 UW (All A’s senior year for midterm report though. Had a rough freshman year…upward trend).
31 ACT ( 32 M 30 R 32 S 29 W 11 E)
Senior course load: AP Calc AB, AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Micro/Macro, AP English Lit, AP Spanish Lang, International Business.
Brother graduated from BC
FBLA president
NHS
Student Govt.
Math and Spanish tutor
State: RI

I believe that BC is a high match/low reach for me. Chance me?

Despite the low gpa, you seem like a promising applicant and i think u have an excellent chance. Upward trend is definitely important

Anyone else wanna post stats? I’m so nervous for decisions to come out :-SS

@DevlinHall208‌ do you know when financial aid information would be released to regular admitted students?

@bchopeful03‌ If you submitted your information on time (all by 2/1), you should expect your award in early April.

@DevlinHall208‌ If some of the forms were turned in after 2/1 will the award come out later in April?

How much harder is it to gain acceptance at CSOM than A&S?

Can you guys chance me? 2040 SAT, 31 ACT, 3.68 UW and 4.65 W GPAs, Decent to great ECs. have/currently taken/taking 10 APs (AP World History, AP Gov, AP Chem, AP Physics B, AP Calc ab, AP Stats, AP Macro, AP Micro, AP Bio, AP Lit).

@Paniniman We have similar stats. What school did you apply to?

I applied to ALOT of schools. UNC Chapel Hill x, Vanderbilt, Rice, Duke, Uconn, Boston College, Clemson, U miami, U florida, Ohio State, U alabama*, Baylor. The ones with the asterisks I got into, the one with the x=rejected. The others, haven’t heard back yet. @justinn76‌

@Paniniman I meant what school at BC (A&S, CSOM, etc.) haha, but we applied to very similar schools as well! I’m waiting on Miami and UNC

haha awkward! but yea i applied for a biology major, so I think A&S!

@bchopeful03‌ The FA office does their best to notify all students by mid-April so you can consider your financial aid packages across your various admission acceptances. There may be a slight delay for those who did not complete their application on time, but not drastic.

@justinn76‌ CSOM has recently been both more selective (high 20s accept rate instead of low 30s) and more competitive (higher quality applicants filling those spots). We forecast this year to be the same.

@DevlinHall208 We need a CSS profile Non-custodial waiver which I am working on. Does this mean we missed the 2/1 deadline?

Piggybacking into @nel626 question. I missed the deadline for financial aid because the NCP has not been submitted yet. Can anyone walk me through how to do this? and if it costs anything?
