did anyone else apply to BC as a transfer? and did they send in their mid-year report for second semester? i'm an idiot and didn't know you had to and it was due on april 1st!

I apply and i submitted the mid-term grade report. I guess you can call them and asked them cause when i called they said they wont be sending out the decisions letter until the 2nd week of may.

thank you, i'm going to call them tommorrow and hope they'll let me just send in my second semester grades because i have finals next week. let me know if you hear anything from them in the next couple of weeks! thanks and good luck.

Yeah, I applied and I sent in my midterm report.

What school are you applying to holdfasttodreams

What in the world is a midterm report? My D is going to school in Ireland and hoping to transfer in as a sophomore, but she was never told to send anything like that in. And I am not even sure they offer that type of report over there.

The mid term report is on there website. It a sheet where you get a professor to write down your mid term grades and they sign it and then you send it to them.

Oh! Okay, thanks a lot.

i called them today and asked them if i could send in my final grades, because finals are next week for me. i won't get them for liek two more weeks, so i'm thinking of sending IN the midyear report (my grades before i take the finals), and also send a letter explaning that this is how i've been doing in my classes 2nd semester and i will send my final grades in as soon as possible---does that sound like a good idea? i am scared that i screwed up my chances here! and sunshadow--just go to BC's transfer website and you'll see the form.

and nyu-- i'm arts & sciences for communication, what about you?

Well, my D called yesterday and the woman said that her file is complete. So, what now?

She also didn't have a very nice attitude, so my D is assuming rejection. ANyone else get that feeling when calling?

Hey me too. I'm also applying to NYU. gallatin's though.

So, I am thinking if they do not ask for a midterm report by now, it's an automatic rejection. Thoughts?

nice! good luck to you, hopefully we both get in! boston is the coooolest place on earth haha. i've heard BC is really good for communication as well. i really would like to take the public relations route in the major. what about you?

and sunshadow, i think it's the same lady who runs the admissions office--i've called many times before i even sent in my application and she had the same tone of voice... don't worry... i doubt they have even started making decisions yet... nyu said earlier in this thread that we'll be hearing mid-may.

and also for mid-term reports, it says on the site it is your responsibility to send it in. they don't ask you for it, from what it says on their website. so them not asking for it does not mean rejection or acceptance it seems like.

Cool. I also want to go for communications and do PR.

Sunshadow - yeah, the people on the phone were very unfriendly. I called on two occasions (The first was that I couldn't login to agora at all, the second time they had categorized some of the stuff from my app incorrectly) and the woman was very unfriendly. I was very polite and respectful but she basically was gruff and trying to get me off the phone. I wouldn't take it as a sign about rejection/acceptance.

I can totally relate, they tend to be very rude on the phone, although I suppose we cannot really claim them given the incredible amount of interest/applicants BC receives each admissions cycle...

I called and the woman in admissions said that (all) decisions would be sent out 2nd week in may

****UPDATE: Ok, so on another thread people were getting an update in the financial aid section in agora with another required form called "Incoming Undergraduate Validation Form." Did anyone else get this?

I have that. I doubt it means anything.

My D has it too.
